Last Sunday the kids and I had a lovely morning (after our hour drive) at the tiny township of
Nelia ...
Georgi - (local resident of
Nelia) and huge fan of the arts, had organized a wonderful exhibition called Threads.
All the exhibitors were local ladies who work with fabric and yours truly was also invited to exhibit (which was very flattering).
So .... if you or anyone travelling in North West Queensland, make sure you stop in at Nelia and pop into the gallery. It's directly across the road from the famous Brolga family - the recent addition to Nelia thanks to

| The lovely embroidery work of Alexandra Westlund (Georgi's daughter). Alexandra isn't a local resident but this is the perfect place to showcase her work and we are very proud to have her work in our exhibition. |

Threads Exhibition will be open to the public (and it's only about 2km off the Flinders highway!) until June 2nd.
